Response Lacey

The response introduces a presenter with long-term involvement in sustainability and community development, describing a summit session focused on New Life for Orphans Uganda. The session will present a case-study story about sustainable solutions for orphans, leadership development, and community transformation from dependency to abundance.

Hi everyone, my name is Lacey Swartz. I'm from the U.S. originally, but have lived in the U.K. for 11 years now, where I serve as the short-term service internship coordinator for Greater Europe Mission U.K. For the past 22 years, natural health and sustainable living have been passions of mine, which have led me to be involved in sustainability issues from business, community development, and faith angles.

Nine years ago, I connected with an inspiring young leader and community in Uganda, working to create sustainable solutions for the hardships faced by orphans in their local area west of Kampala. I'm honored to have been asked by PMI UK to tell the story of New Life for Orphans Uganda during this year's Sustainability Summit. And I look forward to sharing together with you in the joys and challenges of these amazing kids as they grow into servant-hearted leaders who will help to transform their nation from one of deep need and dependence into one of sustainable abundance and generosity.

See you on the 25th.
